What is BCT?
The Be Courageous with Technology Programme is a fully funded, life-changing opportunity designed to equip women and young people from underrepresented backgrounds in Newcastle upon Tyne and the North East UK with digital skills, career tools, and confidence to thrive in the tech industry and beyond.
Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, this FREE programme provides practical training, mentoring, and career guidance to bridge the digital divide, empowering individuals with the skills and connections needed for economic independence and reducing social inequalities.
Who is this programme for?
This programme is designed for Women and young people from underrepresented backgrounds looking to gain digital skills. So whether you fall in any of the following groups, this is for you :
✅ Individuals with limited access to technology and career resources.
✅ Job seekers who want to improve their digital and employability skills.
✅ Single mothers or individuals from lower-income households looking to access new career opportunities.
✅ Young people not in education, employment, or training (NEETs).
✅ Aspiring entrepreneurs who want to use technology to launch and grow a business.
